NEEDLE FELTING FUN: WOOLY CREATIONS
Get ready to stab some fluff (safely!) and have a blast bringing your imagination to life — one poke at a time. In this playful needle felting class, you’ll learn how to turn soft wool into 2D adorable creatures, quirky shapes, or anything your creative heart desires! No experience? No problem! Our friendly instructor will guide you through all the basics — how to use felting needles, shape and blend wool, and add fun details to make your project pop. You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind felted creation and the skills to keep the fun going at home. Recommended for ages 12 and older
MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR:
Amanda Haymans, originally from Richmond, Virginia, serves as the Art and Gallery Director at Nemacolin Resort. She holds a BFA in Art, is a CZT, and brings a deep passion for arts education, having taught in museums, K–12 classrooms, and early‑childhood programs. In her role, Amanda curates multiple gallery spaces, leads art tours and lectures, oversees an artist‑in‑residence program, and coordinates large‑scale art events, private parties, and group experiences.
She also enjoys bringing art to her local community and creating accessible, inspiring experiences for audiences of all ages. Now based in Maryland, Amanda enjoys reading, crafting, traveling, and spending time with her adventurous son.
