Join Instructor Liz Miller for the afternoon and learn to bake soft pretzels from scratch just in time for the Oktoberfest season. According to legend, monks first created pretzels as a reward for their students’ good work and as a charity for the poor. These doughy rewards are twisted to resemble two praying hands. Participants will learn the steps of mixing, shaping, dipping in lye, and baking the pretzels.
The class will take place on Sunday, October 15 at 2pm to 4pm at 601 Georgian Place, Somerset.
The cost is $25 nonmembers/$20 members plus a $10 materials fee. We do ask that 50% of the fees are paid at the time of registration. This portion is non-refundable.
