SUMMARY:Fall Resin Stained Glass Workshop
DESCRIPTION:We are so happy to have Corie Hartsock of the Painting Broad in Philipsburg\, PA host a class for us here at Laurel Arts! Students will create a fall festive faux stained glass piece using resin. Enjoy using all the crushed glass embellishments\, mica powder\, plus everything on the resin table. Students can choose to design the pumpkin sunflower trio or a mushroom with a variety of color options. Projects will need to dry overnight and can be picked up in 24 hours. \nClass takes place on Saturday\, November 8 at 2pm to 4pm at 601 Georgian Place\, Somerset.\nThe cost is $30 nonmembers/$24 members plus a $45 materials fee.\nWe do ask that 50% of the fees are paid at the time of registration. DESCRIPTION:Learn how to make a stunning and symbolic centerpiece out of bread dough for your Thanksgiving table. This cornucopia shaped bread represents abundance and nourishment. Participants will learn all of the steps in making the cornucopia centerpiece through hands-on practice and will take home the traditional recipe and a cornucopia shaped bread mold. The instructor\, Lee Hetrick\, from Vin De Matrix Winery\, is excited to share this four generation Thanksgiving family tradition. The evening will also include a tasting of festive wines that pair well with holiday foods. DESCRIPTION:We are so excited for the holidays and for Amy Miller of Finnegan Knits to join us to create this adorable tree! Students will use a finger knitting technique to build the tree itself. Amy will also have items available to decorate and make it festive along with a few choices of tree colors! All ages 8 through adult are welcome. This class fills up fast so register early!\nRegistration is required.
