]]> Hand Knit Chunky Christmas Tree Making https://laurelarts.org/event/hand-knit-chunky-christmas-tree-making/ Wed, 03 Dec 2025 23:00:00 +0000 https://laurelarts.org/?post_type=tribe_events&p=33142 We are so excited for the holidays and for Amy Miller of Finnegan Knits to join us to create this adorable tree! Students will use a finger knitting technique to build the tree itself. Amy will also have items available to decorate and make it festive along with a few choices of tree colors! All ages 8 through adult are welcome.
Registration is required. We ask that 50% of the fees be paid at the time of registration.

They look difficult to make but you’ll be surprised how easy they are! Christmas themed fabric and all of the supplies will be provided in the materials fee. Step by step instructions will be provided. These ornaments would be a great addition to your Christmas decor!

Class takes place on Friday, December 5 at 6pm to 8pm at 601 Georgian Place, Somerset.

Cost: $25 nonmembers/$20 members payable to Laurel Arts plus a $20 materials fee to Marsha Schmuck.

Preregistration is required by Friday, November 28. 50% of all fees are due at the time of registration. This is nonrefundable.

Liz will give participants tips on how to create a beautiful charcuterie for holiday entertaining. Use your creativity and design your board in the shape of an ugly sweater.
To add to the fun, be sure to wear your favorite ugly sweater!

Students will craft some special ornaments for the tree, decorate cookies, and play some Christmas themed games. It will definitely be a festive two hour celebration!
This class is designed for students ages 3-12.

Class takes place on Sunday, December 7 at 1pm to 3pm at 601 Georgian Place, Somerset.

The cost for the workshop is $25 nonmembers/$20 members payable to Laurel Arts plus a $12 materials fee.

Students will learn how to mix paint pouring medium with a variety of colors and how to layer them for the best pour combinations. Participants will pour onto a clear ornament and allow the paints to pour over onto wood Christmas shape that would make a great door or wall decoration.
