Students will make this gorgeous 12″ bird house faux stained glass frame. Enjoy using all the crushed glass embellishments, mica powder, plus everything on the resin table. This is such a fun project. So many design and color options! Projects will need to dry overnight and can be picked up in 24 hours.
Class takes place on Friday, May 30 at 6pm to 8pm at 601 Georgian Place, Somerset.
The cost is $30 nonmembers/$24 members plus a $45 materials fee.
We do ask that 50% of the fees are paid at the time of registration. This portion is non-refundable.

During this 2 hour workshop, you will learn about the history of wycinanki, regional styles, and techniques for creating your own papercuttings. Together, we will make one Kurpie region style papercutting, which is made from one piece of folded paper, and one Łowicz region style papercutting, featuring layered color. Class takes place on Saturday, May 31 at 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Laurel Arts/Philip Dressler Center for the Arts, 214 Harrison Avenue in Somerset.
This is a FREE workshop but pre-registration is required. Ages 12 and up are welcome.
Materials will be provided, but if you have a pair of scissors you like to use, please bring them along.

These two sister-in-laws recently started their own lei making business. For today’s class, they will be showing students how to create a beautiful Hawaiian Head Lei known as Lei Po’o which translates to “head garland”. Lei po’o are a significant part of Hawaiian culture, representing love, friendship, and celebration. They are often given as gifts and worn during special occasions. This would make a great gift idea for someone you know or to wear for yourself!
Class takes place on Sunday, June 8 at 2:00pm to 5:00pm at 601 Georgian Place, Somerset. (A second class will take place on Wednesday, June 25 at 5pm to 8pm)

Karli will be teaching a first of its kind class here at Laurel Arts in Pyrography. Also know as wood burning, this is an art form where designs are created on wood or other materials by burning into them with a heated tool.
Students will use pyrography pens to burn beautiful designs into their choose of project; a handmade charcuterie board or a hat. You can also choose your design! Draw it on at the class or send it ahead to have it drawn on for you. Projects can be taken home that day! This workshop is great for all skill levels. Please specify which project you would like when you call to register.
Charcuterie Board Class fee is payable to Laurel Arts: $50 nonmembers/$40 members plus a $25 materials fee
Hat Class fee is payable to Laurel Arts: $80 nonmembers/$64 members plus a $25 materials fee
