Join us in a shared message of HOPE and SOLIDARITY as we create “Cranes for Ukraine.”

The cranes will be assembled at workshops and will be placed throughout the community.

Workshops will be held at the following locations:

Laurel Arts – Wednesdays @ 4:30 – 5:15pm

Trinity Lutheran Church – Wednesdays @ 5:30 – 6:30pm

Artist Kathy Reed has graciously offered her time and talents to this worthy cause and will be the instructor at the workshops. Paper and instructions will be provided by Laurel Arts. You can even write a message on the crane if you like.

In addition, we will be collecting donations at the workshops and designated locations.

Funds raised will be donated to:

World Central Kitchen – WCK began immediately working at a 24-hour pedestrian border crossing in southern Poland, WCK began serving hot, nourishing meals (approximately 1 million families served). Now, they’ve expanded their efforts to serve people across the region in Romania, Moldova, and Hungary. WCK is also partnering with restaurants inside of Ukraine to get hot meals to anyone in need. https://wck.org/ #chefsforukraine

Brother’s Brother Foundation (located in Pittsburgh) – 100% of funds received for BBF’s response will be used to support emergency relief and logistics. BBF has supported mobile medical clinics and medical teams in Ukraine and is sending relief items such as hygiene kits, blankets, and medical supplies, to assist those in need in Ukraine and to refugees at the borders of Poland and Romania. BBF is also exploring in-country partnerships to ensure that these refugees have access to basic necessities such as food, clothing and shelter.BBF has partnered with regionally based organizations and businesses such as, Highmark/Allegheny Health Network, the Pittsburgh Technology Council (PTC), Giant Eagle, and the Eden Hall Foundation to name a few.

We hope that you will consider joining in shared solidarity with our human community, through art.
